What is Qurbani ?
Qurbani or Udhiyah means sacrifice. Every year during the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world offer a sacrifice of an animal– either a goat, sheep, cow or camel – as an act of worship and a reflection of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS)’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, for the sake of Allah.It’s more than an obligation and sunnah Muslim Ummah Kenya teams work hard to deliver your Qurbani donations within the most impoverished communities, For many of these vulnerable families, Eid is the only time they get to enjoy a meal with meat which is why we work to ensure that the poorest families are prioritized to receive the best quality meat.
